Mew, a földkerekség legritkább pokémonja. Az ő DNS-ét használják fel a biomérnökök, hogy előállítsák Mewtwo-t. Az új lény nem csupán szolgai másolata, hanem minden szempontból továbbfejlesztett változata az ősidők óta nem látott pokémonnak. Mewtwo meg van győződve arról, hogy ő a leghatalmasabb, legerősebb és legokosabb pokémon, ezért nem is csoda, hogy ő akar lenni a világ ura. Asht, Pikachut és a többieket elcsalja egy összecsapásra, amely egyedülálló a maga nemében: Mewtwo összeméri az erejét Mew-al, a szuperklónok pedig a pokémonokkal. Ez a végső összecspás, amelynek tétje nem kevesebb, mint a világ jövője.

The new creature is not just a slave copy, but an improved version of a Pokémon that has not been seen since ancient times. Mewtwo is convinced that he is the most powerful, strongest and smartest Pokémon, so it’s no wonder he wants to be the lord of the world. Asht, Pikachu, and the others are deceived into a clash that is unique of its kind: Mewtwo compares his power to Mew, and the superclone to the Pokémon. This is the ultimate scapegoat, the stakes of which are no less than the future of the world.
