Viola is an active woman with a nice body and a great waist. She is the Gym Leader of Santalune City Gym (Hakudan City). Battling trainers isn't her only talent as she is also a professional Pokémon photographer. She holds the second highest peerage rank of Duchess at the Battle Chateau.

She is friends with Grant and the two have battled previously at the Battle Chateau. The two battled against each other to attain the highest peerage rank the day that Ash Ketchum first visited the Battle Chateau. Grant defeated Viola to achieve the rank of Grand Duke but Viola at the time only needed one more win to gain the title of Grand Duchess.

Before leaving the Battle Chateau, she watched Ash Ketchum's battle against Chester and she told Grant to notice the momentum that Ash Ketchum had in the battle. Viola told Grant that Ash Ketchum has guts and that his passion would get Grant fired up.
