Pokémon Hunter (XY) is jerk that was setting traps to catch Pokémon and whenever he finds rare Pokémon, he tries to sell them at a high price. He caught Clemont's Dedenne and Beatrice's Bidoof but both were able to escape. Beatrice was mad at the hunter and vowed to make him pay if she ever found him.

He encounter Meowth and James and was able to defeat them and capture Meowth, James' Inkay and Jessie's Pumpkaboo for a short time. He thought Meowth was the perfect prey because it could talk. James went to get help from Ash Ketchum and his friends and together they were able to defeat the Pokémon Hunter (XY) and tie him up until Officer Jenny (Kalos) arrived and arrested him.
