Melony is one of the Gym Leaders of the Galar region, specializing in the Ice Type. She is only the Gym Leader in Pokémon Shield, but has served as such since she was in her twenties. She is known to be very kind, but can be stern with her icy training. Melony is the mother of fellow Gym Leader Gordie, as well as 4 other children. Gordie and Melony had a fall out after he did not want to use Ice Type Pokémon, but she still is the number one member of his fanclub.
