Takeru Iwakura is the third-generation president of SAIjirushi, a cooking utensil manufacturer that has been in business for 80 years. He had meetings with ADventure and Wonder Create advertising agencies to hear their proposals to market their kettle.

The bio game screen though lists his given name as Takeshi (タケシ), the same as the first gym leader from the Red/Green games. His surname Iwakura sounds like Iwark (イワーク), also one of Takeshi's main Pokémon from the games.
