The producer of Pokémon Masters Yu Sasaki posted an open letter about the game on the Pokémon Master's official website. The letter addresses the upcoming changes to the game.

A Message from the Pokémon Masters EX Team (Vol. 49)

Greetings, Trainers.
We’re the producers of Pokémon Masters EX, Yu Sasaki and Tetsuya Iguchi, here with a new message for you. Today, we’ll focus on details about events beginning around the end of July and the new Sync Pairs that will debut.

App Update for Late July - A New Guest Arrives in the Trainer Lodge

Starting July 31, 2023, you’ll be able to invite Calem as a Guest to the Trainer Lodge! To invite Calem, you’ll need to team up with Calem & Espurr first. You can team up with Calem & Espurr by completing Chapter 20 of the Main Story’s PML arc, so be sure to team up with them if you haven’t yet.

Also in this update, a button has been added that lets you proceed directly to the next area after completing some areas. It’ll give you a smoother experience when playing events or the Main Story, so we hope you make use of it.

Content to Be Added to the Villain Arc Galar Chapter!

Starting July 30, 2023, the continuation of the Villain Arc’s Galar Chapter will be available. Rose pushes to try to solve the energy problem. Can Leon and the others work together and stop Rose’s recklessness? We hope you enjoy the story!

Leon and Gloria, who play big roles in the story, are also scheduled to appear in the Sync Pair Scout as Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs, so we hope you look forward to it!

Leon (Alt.) & Dragapult

Leon (Alt.) & Dragapult are a Dragon-type tech sync pair that battles while lowering the opponent’s stats. Their B Breaking Swipe Buddy Move attacks all opponents and lowers all opponents’ Attack, Defense, and Speed by one stat rank.

Plus, when they land a hit with an attack Move, one of their Passive Skills can lower one of the target’s following stats by one stat rank at random: Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, Speed, accuracy, or evasiveness.

After lowering the opponent’s stats, try blasting them with Dragon Darts, which consumes four slots of the Move Gauge!

Also, another Passive Skill of theirs lets them attack while ignoring the target’s Passive Skills that would reduce the damage of attacks, Passive Skills that would protect the target against a critical hit, and the target’s Enduring effect, making them a Sync Pair that can excel in a wide variety of battles.

Gloria (Alt. 2) & Cinderace

Gloria (Alt. 2) & Cinderace are a tech Sync Pair that can battle using the Fire, Flying, or Fighting types to match the situation. When they use a Max Move, their Pasio’s Ace Passive Skill lowers the target’s Type Rebuff by two ranks.

The Type Rebuff that gets lowered will be the same type as the Max Move that Gloria (Alt. 2) & Cinderace used, which means that they can lower the opponent’s Fire, Flying, or Fighting Type Rebuff based on the situation.

Also, based on the type of the Max Move they used, their Passive Skills and the type of their Sync Move will change, making them a Sync Pair that can battle in a wide variety of ways.

Additionally, the Villain Event Hear the Cheers!, via which you can power up Hop & Zamazenta, is also scheduled to begin. You’ll be able to take on Sygna Suit Leon in extreme battles, so we hope you give it a try.

The Villain Arc has been going for two years. With this addition of the Galar Chapter, all that remains is the last part of the Paulo Chapter and the final chapter! Things will really heat up in the culmination of the Villain Arc as the Trainers on Pasio, including Paulo, collide with the Villains and their schemes, so we hope you enjoy what’s to come!

In order to play the final chapter, you’ll have to complete the chapters of all the eight regions of the Villain Arc, including the Galar Chapter, so please take this opportunity to play the Villain Arc if you haven’t yet.

The Four-Year Anniversary Is Almost Here!

Pokémon Masters EX is about to reach its fourth year since launch! It’s been a long road, and we’re approaching our four-year anniversary thanks to all of you. We’re incredibly grateful for your support.

The entire development team is hard at work making this anniversary as exciting as ever, so we hope that you’ll look forward to this year’s celebration!

The final Villain Arc chapter we mentioned earlier is scheduled to be added during the four-year anniversary at the end of August. The run-up to the anniversary will feature things such as the last Paulo Chapter and a Mission Bingo that will let you earn rewards for preparing for the final Villain Arc chapter.

Also, we’ll share another message with you before the run-up begins, so we hope you check it out.

What to Expect in the Next Message

Our next message is scheduled for early August. We’re bringing it to you at a different time of the month than usual, so be sure not to miss it.

We’re always working hard to deliver updates and improvements that make the world of Pokémon Masters EX as fun as possible.

Until next time, thank you for playing Pokémon Masters EX.
