5 new Pokémon Utility Hole Covers, or PokéLid (Pokéfuta ポケふた) were unveiled for Shizuoka Prefecture on May 31st, 2024. The new manholes feature Fushigisou, Meloetta, and other Pokémon. They will be installed in Shizuoka City (静岡市), Hamamatsu (浜松市), Numazu City (沼津市), Fuji City (富士市) and Izu City (伊豆市)!

Each PokéLids is an original design and each is unique with the aim of promoting the appeal of Pokémon and each region they are installed in throughout Japan.

The PokéLids that are installed will gradually become PokéStops for the location-based game Pokémon GO for smartphones.
