Only July 7th, 2014, the 100 millionth Pokémon Traded on the Global Trade Station (GTS) took place. From July 8th, 2014 until July 31st, 2014, a Fancy Pattern Vivillon will be distributed via the Nintendo Network to celebrate this milestone.

Fancy Pattern Download Instructions

The Fancy Pattern is available via Nintendo Network for your Pokémon X or Pokémon Y game. This is the first time Trainers can get Fancy Pattern Vivillon. You won’t encounter this beautiful Pokémon in the wild in your game, so don’t miss this limited opportunity!

To get the Fancy Pattern Vivillon:

  1. Connect your Nintendo 3DS system to the Internet.
  2. Select Mystery Gift on the main menu.
  3. Select Receive Gift, then Yes.
  4. Select Get Via Internet, then Yes.
  5. Watch as you receive Fancy Pattern Vivillon!
  6. Speak to the delivery girl in any Pokémon Center to receive your Vivillon.
  7. Be sure to save your game!

Fancy Pattern Vivillon released simultaneously to Pokémon fans across the globe. The players of Pokémon X and Pokémon Y have achieved a massive landmark by trading 100 million Pokémon via the Global Trade Station (GTS). To celebrate the colossal number of trades, a new Fancy Pattern Vivillon is now available to players across the globe!

Traditionally, Vivillon have distinctive colours and patterns on their wings based on the real-world region of the player. Fancy Pattern Vivillon is exceptional, since every player in the world will be able to obtain the same Vivillon pattern simultaneously as a special memento of this epic milestone.
