Message from the Pokémon Masters EX Team (Vol. 24)
Greetings, Trainers. We’re the producers of Pokémon Masters EX, Yu Sasaki and Tetsuya Iguchi, here with a new message for you. Today, we’ll focus on details about the two-year anniversary update and share info about the new Main Story arc.
App Update for Late August
Rewards from the Regular Log-In Bonus Get Even Better
To mark the game’s two-year anniversary and show our appreciation for your support, we’ve made the rewards that you can get from the regular log-in bonus even better. The change will take effect on September 1, 2021. We hope you’ll find these rewards useful on your adventures.
Zero Stamina Consumption for the Evolution Material Area and Sync Orb Area
After taking into consideration your feedback and the current state of the game, we have made changes so that playing the Evolution Material Area and Sync Orb Area consumes no Stamina.
We hope that this allows even more players to have an easier time playing the game while evolving Pokémon and powering up Sync Grids.
Level Cap Increased to Lv. 140
A new battle has been added to the Cap-Unlock Area, and Sync Pairs’ level caps have increased to Lv. 140. Once you power up your Sync Pairs even more, try taking on battles that you weren’t able to complete before.
The Two-Year Anniversary of Pokémon Masters EX Is Almost Here!
Pokémon Masters EX is about to welcome its two-year anniversary! We’re incredibly grateful for your support.
We’re going to keep working hard to provide you with even more exciting experiences, so we hope you look forward to what’s to come.
Next, we’d like to share specific details about the two-year anniversary and the new main story arc that will unfold after the anniversary.
10-Pair Ticket Scout Under Way! Max 100 Pairs!
First, here are details about the 10-Pair Ticket Scout, which is currently under way.
You can get one Ticket for this scout each day by logging in while the scout is available, for a total of up to 10 Tickets. One Ticket lets you scout 10 sync pairs from the 10-Pair Ticket Scout.
By getting all 10 Tickets, you can scout up to 100 sync pairs at no cost, so be sure to log in every day!
You Can Get Over 10000 Gems Total!
To celebrate the two-year anniversary, we’re going to hold multiple Rallies from which you can get over 10000 Gems! Have a look below for details about the Rallies that we have planned.
Gem Present
We’re going to send a present of 3000 Gems to all players on August 27, 2021, so don’t forget to check your Present Box on that day.
Special Log-In Bonus
A special two-year anniversary log-in bonus is coming on August 27, 2021. You can get over 3000 Gems from this bonus, so be sure to log in every day.
Daily Battle Present Event
The Daily Battle Present Event will begin on August 27, 2021.
By completing daily battles, you can get Gems, 5★-Guaranteed Scout Tickets, Battle Points, and other rewards. Each battle can only be challenged once per day.
Plus, on the first, fifth, tenth, and fifteenth days of the event, special battles will be added, from which you can get even more incredible rewards. If you complete every battle during the event, you’ll get 5000 or more gems. These battles will be easy to complete, so we hope you try taking them on every day.
Three Master Sync Pairs to Celebrate the Two-Year Anniversary!
Starting August 27, 2021, Lillie, N, and Steven will appear in Sync Pair Scouts on separate days, each wearing a special outfit to commemorate the two-year anniversary. Also beginning August 27, 2021, they’ll star in the Story Event: Hearts United. As Sync Pairs, they’ll be very powerful, so let’s take a look at some of their capabilities.
Lillie (Anniversary 2021) & Lunala
Lillie (Anniversary 2021) & Lunala are a Ghost-type Master Sync Pair from the Alola region.
Their Shining Moonlight! move raises their Sp. Atk by six stat ranks and their critical-hit rate by three stat ranks, making them capable of using moves like Moongeist Beam to deal major damage right from the outset of battle.
They can also use Potion, and they have Passive Skills that reduce damage under certain conditions, making them an easy-to-use strike sync pair that excels at both offense and defense.
N (Anniversary 2021) & Reshiram
N (Anniversary 2021) & Reshiram are a tech Master Sync Pair from the Unova region.
They have a Passive Skill called Extend Range that can cause Reshiram’s Blue Flare and Noble Roar moves to hit all opponents without sacrificing those moves’ power.
Also, they have a Passive Skill that will always lower the opponent’s Sp. Def when successfully attacking with a move, so they can weaken opponents with Noble Roar and then follow up with Blue Flare.
Steven (Anniversary 2021) & Rayquaza
Steven (Anniversary 2021) & Rayquaza are a Master Sync Pair from the Hoenn region.
Normally their stats would get lowered when attacking with their Dragon Ascent or Draco Meteor moves, but thanks to their Downside Up Passive Skill, those stats will get raised instead.
On top of that, they have a Passive Skill that powers up moves based on how much their stats have been raised, making them a strike sync pair that gets stronger the more they attack with moves.
After the sync pair uses their Sync Move, Rayquaza will become Mega Rayquaza, increasing its stats even more. Also, Steven’s Rayquaza is a Shiny Rayquaza, so we hope you look forward to seeing it.
Plus, starting August 31, 2021, these three Sync Pair will be featured in an Extreme Battle Event.
Team Up with Misty (Swimsuit) & Psyduck!
A Special Sync Pair Event starring Misty & Psyduck will begin on August 27, 2021. In this event, you can team up with Misty in a special outfit.
You can add Misty (Swimsuit) & Psyduck to your team just by watching the event’s story. They’re a versatile Sync Pair that can use Potion and Full Heal, making them a great choice for beginners.
Plus, by advancing in the event and collecting rewards, you can exchange for items that increase Misty (Swimsuit) & Psyduck’s move level and potential, so we hope you give them a try.
A Special Sync Pair Scout to Commemorate the Two-Year Anniversary
On August 27, 2021, the special 5★-Select Poké Fair Scout ×11 will begin. This one-time-only scout has multiple Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs and allows you to make a selection of one Sync Pair from those included in the scout.
Also, on September 2, 2021 and September 9, 2021, respectively, two Super Spotlight Scouts will begin, featuring various seasonal Sync Pairs. The lineups for the scouts will be different, so we hope you look forward to seeing which Sync Pairs will appear.
Two-Year Anniversary Rerun Event
Beginning September 2, 2021, various story events will start returning. These events will return in a special format, which includes adjustments to the battles and other aspects of each event so that you can enjoy their stories without using Stamina.
We think that those of you who have been playing since the game’s launch will find the lineup of returning events quite nostalgic, so we hope you enjoy them.
The Villain Arc of the Main Story Begins!
Finally, we’ll share some info about the new Main Story arc that will begin after the PML story arc concludes.
The new Main Story arc is titled the “Villain Arc.” It’s a more serious story that focuses on the different Villains that have appeared throughout the Pokémon series, and now their trouble is coming to Pasio.
It takes place after the PML arc is finished, but you can begin the Villain Arc even if you haven’t finished the PML arc—and enjoy both stories regardless which one you start with.
In case you’re wondering about the future of a certain character after the PML arc, we’re planning to show you what happened with that character as well, so stay tuned.
The Villain Arc is scheduled to begin with a prelude in mid-September and an update in late September, so please wait just a little longer.
In addition, the development team is working hard on planning and developing various improvements and new features for after the two-year anniversary, so we hope you continue to enjoy Pokémon Masters EX!
What to Expect in the Next Message
Our next message is scheduled for late September. In it, we plan to share more detailed information about the Villain Arc and discuss new story events.
We’re always working hard to deliver updates and improvements that make the world of Pokémon Masters EX as fun as possible.
We prioritize Trainers’ feedback throughout the development process, so don’t hesitate to let us know what you think.
Until next time, thank you for playing Pokémon Masters EX.
