The producer of Pokémon Masters Yu Sasaki posted an open letter about the game on the Pokémon Master's official website. The letter addresses the upcoming changes to the game.

A Message from the Pokémon Masters EX Team (Vol. 31)

Greetings, Trainers.
We’re the producers of Pokémon Masters EX, Yu Sasaki and Tetsuya Iguchi, here with a new message for you.

Today, we’ll focus on details about the update for the 2.5 year mark of the game, as well as future updates.

New Content: Victory Road!

New content has come to Pasio in the form of Victory Road. On Victory Road, you can learn battle tips while earning amazing rewards.
To play, you’ll have to complete the Champion Stadium on Normal difficulty first. As you work your way through Victory Road using a fixed team, you’ll learn enough tricks of the trade to take on difficult challenges, such as the Champion Stadium on Hard Lv. 1.
You can also get a One-Time-Only 5★-Select Scout Ticket, which lets you team up with either Sygna Suit Red & Charizard, Sygna Suit Leaf & Venusaur, or Sygna Suit Blue & Blastoise, plus a total of 5,000 Gems and other great rewards!
In this story-based content, you can learn the basics of battle from various regions’ Champions as you proceed, so even if you’re already confident in your battling abilities, we hope you give it a try to get the rewards and experience the story!

Special Completion Rewards

Special Completion Rewards offering Gems for completing certain conditions have been added as Missions to the PML Arc of the Main Story and to the Champion Stadium. Completing all of the conditions lets you collect up to 6,000 Non-paid Gems (those who have already completed the conditions will be able to collect the rewards immediately). Plus, by purchasing the Story Bundle or the Champion Bundle, you’ll get additional rewards of Paid Gems when completing certain conditions. Combined with those you can get immediately upon purchase, you can get up to 31,500 Paid Gems!

The conditions for the Missions are as follows: complete each chapter of the PML Arc, complete the Champion Stadium on Normal and Hard Lv. 1 difficulties, and complete a Medal for any region.
If you haven’t completed these conditions yet, we hope you take this opportunity to play through the Main Story and the Champion Stadium. Try learning some battle tips from Victory Road before taking on battles tougher than Hard Lv. 1 difficulty of the Champion Stadium!

Improvements to Battle UI and Other Features

To improve usability of battle and team-editing screens, we’ve made some text changes and UI adjustments.

Story Event Pasio Friendiversary

Story Event Pasio Friendiversary began on February 27, 2022 and is now live.
During this event, May, Skyla, and Raihan will appear in Sync Pair Scouts on separate days, each wearing a special outfit to commemorate the 2.5 year mark of the game. They’ll each appear as Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs and have distinctive capabilities, so let’s take a closer look at what they can do.

  • May (Anniversary 2022) & Latias
pic

May (Anniversary 2022) & Latias are a Psychic-type tech Sync Pair.
They can use their Psychic Wish Move to turn the field into Psychic Terrain, and they can use their Best Friends! Move to raise their Defense and Sp. Def by two stat ranks, raise their critical-hit rate by three stat ranks, and apply the Move Gauge Acceleration effect to the allied field of play. They can also use the X Sp. Atk All Move, making them a Sync Pair that excels in both offense and defense.
Also, after the sync pair uses their Sync Move, Latias will become Mega Latias and one of their Passive Skills will change. After the change, their Unexpected Benefit ×2 Passive Skill allows their successful attacks with Mist Ball to lower the opponent’s Sp. Atk by two stat ranks guaranteed. This synergizes well with their other Passive Skill, which powers up their attacks based on how much the opponent’s Sp. Atk and Sp. Def have been lowered, allowing them to boost their attacks more and more.

  • Skyla (Anniversary 2022) & Tornadus

Skyla (Anniversary 2022) & Tornadus are a Flying-type tech Sync Pair.
By using their Flying Wish Move, they can change the field to a Flying Zone, powering up Flying-type attacks by 50%. This is currently the only Move of its kind for Flying-type Teams. Also, they can restore the HP of all allies with their Mini Potion All Move, and their Passive Skills can make the opponent flinch or leave the opponent confused, making them a Sync Pair that can disrupt opponents, support allies, and heal.

  • Raihan (Anniversary 2022) & Flygon

Raihan (Anniversary 2022) & Flygon are a Dragon-type tech Sync Pair that can Dynamax.
They excel at manipulating the Weather and can change it with their Sandstorm and Max Flare Moves. In addition, their Can’t Be Tamed! Move raises their Sp. Atk and critical-hit rate and also applies the Supereffective ↑ Next effect to all allied Sync Pairs when Weather conditions are in effect. Plus, they have a Passive Skill that increases their Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, and Speed by 30% only when Weather conditions are in effect, making them a Sync Pair that can become incredibly powerful by changing the Weather.

Celebrate Two and a Half Years with Special Sync Pair Scouts!

On February 28, 2022, March 2, 2022, and March 4, 2022, the following three scouts will open one at a time!
- 5★-Select Seasonal Scout ×11 A
- 5★-Select Seasonal Scout ×11 B
- 5★-Select Seasonal Scout ×11 C
Four Seasonal Sync Pairs will appear in each Sync Pair Scout, and after using a Sync Pair Scout ×11, you’ll be able to select and team up with one 5★ Sync Pair from the Seasonal Sync Pairs in each lineup.
Additionally, a 5★-Select Poké Fair Scout ×11 will begin on March 5, 2022! Six Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs will appear, and after using a Sync Pair Scout ×11, you’ll be able to select and team up with one 5★ Sync Pair from the scout’s lineup.

Each of these Sync Pair Scouts can be used with paid gems only and can be used only once, so don’t miss this chance to team up with fair-exclusive and Seasonal Sync Pairs!

Other Events

We have several new events planned for March, including a mini-event featuring male Trainers, a new Egg Event, a Psychic-type gear event, and the second Legendary Gauntlet.
We are also planning a separate special event around mid-March, so we hope you look forward to it.

Future Updates

There are even more improvements and updates planned for after the 2.5 year mark of Pokémon Masters EX that we hope everyone will be able to enjoy.
As a big highlight of a future update, we’ve begun developing some new content that focuses on connecting and interacting with Trainers. This has been one of the most requested features thus far, and the development team is excited to deliver it to you all.
We’re aiming to be able to bring this content to you around the three-year anniversary of the game.
We hope to tell you more about this and the other content we have planned in future messages, so please continue to enjoy Pokémon Masters EX.

What to Expect in the Next Message

Our next message is scheduled for late March. In it, we plan to share information about new Sync Pairs that will arrive in April, as well as event details.

We’re always working hard to deliver updates and improvements that make the world of Pokémon Masters EX as fun as possible.

Until next time, thank you for playing Pokémon Masters EX.
