Liko's Hatenna was spotted resting in a crate in a hut near the Galar Mine. Liko noticed that it wasn't doing well so she brought it back to the blimp so that Mollie could look at it. After it was given a physical clean bill of health, she told Liko that it probably was "suffering emotionally", in other words, having been injured from constantly picking up emotions from nearby creatures. Unwilling to just leave it be, Liko decided to look after it on her own.

It wandered around the blimp till Liko found it up in the observation deck where it was quiet. She realized that it was a lot like her and she told it about her time coming on the Brave Asaki. It connected with her story of being in a rain storm and being around a lot of people which made her anxious. It was similar circumstances for Hatenna. Liko promised to take it back to where they found it in the morning and it rested in Liko's hoodie pullover for the night as that's where it seemed most comfortable.

Upon returning it to the hut near the Galar Mine, it started to walk away until it was stopped by Liko's Sprigatito who got it to return to Liko and after a brief discussion, Liko caught Hatenna.

Liko's Hattrem is the evolved form of Liko's Hatenna. It evolved while stopping the Annihilape who were fighting with each other.
