In the English dub, Erika decides to list the letters in the word perfume and assign each of them a meaning.

Erika Dub: "p" for pretty, "e" for elegant, "r" for radiant, "f" for fun, "u" for urbane, "m" for mysterious, "e" for energy, and that spells?
Erika Japanese Translation: Listen well! Perfume also has the effects of relaxing people's moods, invigorating them and healing their hearts!

Girl Scout Dub: I wouldn't let you in if you were the last Pokémon trainer on earth. This gym doesn't allow anyone inside who says that perfume is a stinky rip-off.
Girl Scout Japanese Translation: Earlier at the shop, you said perfume has no meaning, didn't you? The Leader said a boy who talks like that shouldn't be allowed in the Gym.

Meowth breaks the fourth wall when he acknowledges the fact that the artists never gave him a nose. Nyarth in the Japanese original doesn't break the fourth wall but instead his line is actually a pun on the word 'hana'. The word hana can mean flower (花) which is what Kusaihana's name is based off of. Hana can also mean nose (鼻) which is the hana that Nyarth is referring to in this instance.

Meowth: Oh. Oh, yeah. I almost forgot. The cartoonist never gave me a nose.
Nyarth: My nose, my nose... My nose is gone!
(ニャース): 鼻…鼻…鼻がないニャース！
