After deciding on the composition and structure of the background and characters for the cover of volume 56, I let my two assistants do the rest of the coloring (I did the leaves myself). It's a shame that they're hidden by the characters, so I hope I'll have a chance to show them off properly someday.

来月末発売予定のポケスペ57巻のカバー画、「どの場面にしようか？」と57巻収録話を読み返し、いろいろラフを描いて今さっきやっとバチっと決まった構図ができた。最初はマスタータワーの攻防にしようかと考えたのだけど、さすがに主役不在は冒険が過ぎるかな？と思いボツに。でもちょっと描きたい。
I've been going over the cover art for volume 57 of Pokémon Special, which will be released at the end of next month. I read over the stories in volume 57 and drew various rough sketches, and just now I've finally come up with the perfect composition. At first I thought about making it a battle at the Master Tower, but then I thought it would be too adventurous without the main character, so I rejected that. But I still want to draw it.

I hope it won't be too confusing... I'm working on it as soon as possible.
