Summary:

Kimi no Soba de ~Hikari no Theme~ Pop-Up Version (君のそばで ～ヒカリのテーマ～ Pop-Up Version) is a variant of the first ending for Pocket Monsters Diamond and Pearl and features Hikari as she begins her journey to be a Pokémon Coordinator. Most of the animation is the same as the original ending and the lyrics are the same but the music has a more Pop and Rock type beat to it.

The opening starts off with Hikari in different poses and facial expressions. The final pose ends up on a coin that is tossed into the air as Hikari watches it return towards her.

The next scene shows Hikari and her long hair blowing in the wind as Satoshi, Pochama, Pikachu and Takeshi slowly come into the camera's view to show them all resting on a hill. Pochama jumps up on Hikari's shoulder as she turns to smile at it.

The scene where Saotshi, Pikachu and Takeshi look at a large fountain as Hikari watches Pochama eat is replaced with Hikari and Pochama sitting under a tree that is blossoming as her friends play in the background. The next scene features Satoshi going down a hill on skis out of control with Takeshi following behind him on skis as well. Hikari and Pochama slide down the hill on a sled.

Quick transitions of Hikari posing in different contest outfits takes up a few seconds before the lyrics state "Jump!" and it shows Satoshi and his Pokémon. Takeshi in his "Takeshi no Paradise" Mexican outfit makes a quick appearance in this variant.

The final segment of the ending has the three main characters running and jumping through various locations across Sinnoh until the last group picture appears with the main characters, their Pokémon and Rocket Gang.
