  • The Increase Potential section of the Team menu has been changed to Potential & Move Level. This screen can now be used to increase a sync pair’s number of ★s as well as level up their moves.
  • You can level up a sync pair’s moves by going to the Team menu and selecting Potential & Move Level, and then pressing the Level Up Moves button.

    When you acquire a sync pair that you have already teamed up with through methods such as the sync pair scout, their move level can be raised to a maximum of 5.

    Note: Once a move reaches its level 5 max, you’ll receive a ★ power-up with the same number of ★s as the duplicate sync pair instead.

    To coincide with this change, Move Candy, which are items used to level up moves, have been added.
  • Made a change so that the role and weakness type names are displayed when the corresponding icons are tapped on the sync pair details screen.
  • Adjusted Battle Villa co-op battle rewards and applied a restriction to the number of plays available per day.

Players who have already acquired the Move Gauge Slot will be compensated for the coins used for the exchange. Please see your Present Box.
  • A new mission feature has been added where you can team up with a sync pair you have selected from a set pool after completing a designated area. Note: If you have already completed the specified area, you can team up with the sync pair immediately after the selection screen.
  • The startup tutorial and the other tutorials in the game have been improved.
  • Fixed an issue that occurred on the Medals section of the Poryphone menu in which, when setting PML badges as favorites, the set Medals would not display.
  • Fixed an issue in which meeting Missions conditions for obtaining the 1★ standard Medals Technical Victor may not have counted towards completion.

July 28th, 2020 1.12.0
  • The current Training Area will be renamed the EX Plaza, and a brand-new Training Area will be added as a place where Items for strengthening your sync pairs can be obtained. In the Training Area, you can take on battles to earn Sync Orbs as well as Items used to unlock level caps.
  • To coincide with the addition of the new Training Area, the courses and supercourses found in the current EX Plaza will be removed.
  • A stamina function will be introduced as a trial. Some battles will require stamina to play, but there will also be battles that do not require stamina.

    Note: Based on feedback from players, we are taking a flexible approach to the stamina function, including the possibility of removing it. We would appreciate any additional feedback you can provide after playing this new update.
  • Skip tickets will be introduced. Using a skip ticket before some battles where you have met the requirements will allow you to skip the battle and obtain the rewards immediately.
  • A Player Rank system will be added. You can increase your Player Rank by accumulating rank points obtained through battles. Your maximum Stamina increases according to your Player Rank.
  • The limit of one Super Hard difficulty battle per week in Main Story (co-op) will be removed.
  • You will be able to take on EX Challenges by yourself by forming three teams using your own Sync Pairs.
  • Type skills will be introduced. Type skills are new skills that all sync pairs will have. They are activated when you have two or more sync pairs on your team that share the same sync move type.
  • The Sync Pairs you team up with will come without a single Move or Passive Skill left to unlock. To coincide with this, the Moves & Skills menu will be removed.
  • The level cap unlocking feature up to the third tier will be removed. The level caps of all sync pairs will be adjusted to coincide with this change. The initial level cap of all sync pairs will be 100, regardless of their number of ★s.

    Note: Due to the design change to unlocking the level cap, there may be fewer types of conversations when talking to Trainers in the Pokémon Center. This can be resolved by unlocking the level cap one or more times.
  • The number of items required to unlock the level caps of some sync pairs will be reduced.
  • Some items, such as the Buff Blend and the Training Machine, will become redundant following the changes.
  • Some of the redundant items can be exchanged for other items in the Exchange Items menu.
  • Move Candy Coins will be added. You can exchange them for 5★ Move Candy by collecting a certain amount.

    Note: Move Candy Coins will be obtainable as event rewards and from other sources in the future.
  • Weekly Mission Bingo will be removed. For Gems that could be obtained as Bingo Rewards in Mission Bingo, the daily mission rewards will be adjusted so as not to reduce the number of Gems obtainable in one week.
  • The contents of Mission Bingo: Beginner, Mission Bingo: Intermediate, and Mission Bingo: Advanced will be adjusted.

    Note: If bingo rewards or bingo blackout rewards from Mission Bingo: Beginner, Mission Bingo: Intermediate, or Mission Bingo: Advanced were collected before this update, they cannot be collected again. Updated: July 29, 2020 at 5:00 a.m.
  • The daily mission content will be changed.
  • To coincide with the removal of level cap unlocking feature up to the third tier, missions related to unlocking the level cap a certain number of times will now be counted by unlocking Lv. 110 and Lv. 120.
  • Fixed a bug where moves featuring the additional effects of Flinching and Confusion improperly calculated the accuracy of those effects by basing them on a recalculation of the move’s success rate again from the beginning.

    Note: The accuracy of the additional effects is supposed to be determined after the move first lands.

  • The items required for upgrading to 6★ EX can be obtained via the Champion Stadium.

  • An icon has been added to transition from the Pokémon Center straight to the Sync Pair Scout.

  • A sync pair’s current move level can now be viewed, and the sync pair’s icon will change according to that level.
  • The background of a sync pair will change according to its number of ★s, and the Trainer’s pose will also change for 6★ EX sync pairs.
  • Some move configurations of opponent sync pairs that appear in the Battle Villa have been changed. Note: Changes will be applied to the currently available Battle Villa with the update.
  • The design of the Explore menu has been updated.
  • A pop-up notification about current events and rallies will now be displayed while at the Pokémon Center.

  • Some screens in the game now allow you to switch between tabs showing your Pokémon hatched from Eggs and your other Sync Pairs.

  • When Trainers switch to EX Style, they will appear in the Pokémon Center in their EX Style.

  • In the Settings Menu, using the newly added Ally Sync Move Animations, you can now set the playback of your allies’ Sync Move animations to OFF, Always, or Once Daily. Note: You can change this setting in your Poryphone by going to the Settings menu and selecting Battle.
  • With the newly added Learn Again button, after learning a Lucky Skill, the same Lucky Cookie can be used again.
  • A Lucky Skill tutorial has been added. If you have not unlocked a Lucky Skill slot yet, you can learn more about it in the tutorial. Note: If you have already unlocked a Lucky Skill slot and cannot play through the tutorial, you will be sent the items that can be obtained within the tutorial.   • Fixed an issue in which, during certain periods, even if the auto-incubate feature was used before the limited-time incubator expired, Eggs would not be set automatically under certain conditions.     Note: The above is applicable even if you sent Pokémon that you hatched from Eggs to Professor Bellis before the release of the new feature.

  • Fixed an issue in which, when inflicting damage on multiple opponents at the same time with Clemont & Heliolisk's Parabolic Charge, the amount of HP restored would display as lower than the actual amount.
    Note: The amount restored has not been changed. This fix is for the displayed amount only.
  • Fixed an issue in which, under certain conditions, an error may display on the title screen and the game may not be started when playing on an iOS device.

Training Area Update

Stamina Update
  • Stamina will now replenish by 1 every 4 minutes instead of 1 every 6 minutes.

  • Increased the number of Pokémon that can be left at the Day Care from 100 to 200.
Other Updates
  • Previously, Passive Skills that activate during attacks would not activate if attacking resulted in the user fainting by recoil damage, like with Double-Edge, or damage over time, like with the Poisoned condition or Hail, but now they will activate.
  • Fixed an issue that occurred when taking part in consecutive battles with a single team, in which having an active Theme Skill effect that adds HP would cause HP to be restored at the start of the next consecutive battle.
  • Fixed an issue in which activation of certain Passive Skills would sometimes prevent the standard Medal Blunderful from being obtained, despite meeting conditions.
  • Other minor bug fixes and improvements have been implemented.

  • Changed the Sync Move voice-over for Dawn & Turtwig.
  • Fixed an issue in which attacking with the Move, Solar Beam while the Weather is Hail or a Sandstorm would cause damage to be taken from the Weather. Note: Damage from the Weather is still taken while the user is getting ready to attack after selecting Solar Beam.
  • Fixed an issue in which Auto-Incubate does not work correctly under certain conditions. In conjunction with this fix, we will make some adjustments to the important information concerning the Eggcelerator Pass on January 28, 2021. Users who had a vaild Eggcelerator Pass while the issue was occurring will receive 300 Non-paid Gems starting January 28, 2021.
  • Fixed an issue in which accuracy would not be properly calculated in the following situations.
  • When a Sync Pair with raised accuracy attacks a Sync Pair that has lowered evasiveness and also has the Nimble Footed or Enlightenment Passive Skills, including those learned via Lucky Skill.
  • When a Sync Pair with raised evasiveness is attacked by a Sync Pair that has lowered accuracy and also has the Mind’s Eye or Enlightenment Passive Skills, including those learned via Lucky Skill. As compensation for this issue, 300 non-paid gems have been sent to all players.

June 27th, 2021 2.10.0 Updates for Upcoming Gear Event
  • The requirement to unlock gear and the EX Plaza's EX Challenges has been changed from completing Main Story Chapter 18: Challenge Cheren & Hilbert & Hilda (Hard) in co-op to completing Main Story Interlude 1: Let the Tournament Begin! in single-player.
  • When you exchange gear, you can now receive 3★ Gear upgrade items.
    Note: 3★ Gear can be earned in gear events. The first event is scheduled for the following date/time.

  • Updated some gear-related UI.
  • Starting from the following date/time, the amount of gear that can be displayed in the Temp Storage and Claimed sections of the Present Box will be limited to 1000.

July 27th, 2021 2.11.0 Sync Pair Scout Update
  • Scout points are now displayed on the Sync Pair Scout screen.
  • The following changes were made to the screen which allows you to select a sync pair when scout points are at max.
    1. The display will now show whether you have already obtained the sync pair.
    2. If you have already obtained the sync pair, their move level will be displayed.
    3. An icon will be shown on sync pairs that are featured in that sync pair scout.
    4. Adjusted the order of the sync pair list.

  • Daily log-in bonus rewards will be updated. You can obtain the updated rewards starting at the date and time listed below. If you are still in the middle of your log-in streak before the update, your log-in streak will be reset. Scheduled Update Date/Time: September 1, 2021 at 11:00 p.m.
5★-Guaranteed Ticket Scout Update
  • More sync pairs will be added to the 5★-Guaranteed Ticket Scout. You will still be able to use the 5★-Guaranteed Scout Tickets that you already have. New sync pairs will be added at the date and time listed below. Scheduled Date/Time: August 27, 2021 at 11:00 p.m.

Training Area Update
  • New area info is being added to the following areas of the Training Area: Cap-Unlock Area Scheduled Date/Time: August 27, 2021 at 11:00 p.m.
  • To coincide with the new area additions, the Level Cap of Sync Pairs will be increased to Lv. 140.
  • New Items required to unlock the new Level Cap will be added. Check out the separate notice to be released at a later date for more information.
  • The Evolution Material Area and Sync Orb Area in the Training Area will be playable without using Stamina.
    Note: In accordance with this change, you can no longer obtain Rank Points in the Evolution Material Area or the Sync Orb Area in the Training Area.

  • Giovanni & Mewtwo can be raised to 6★ EX starting at the date and time listed below. Scheduled Date/Time: September 15, 2021 at 11:00 p.m.
  • Your sync pairs become 6★ EX-ready once you use any combination of Custom ★ Power-Ups and 5★ Power-Ups a total of 20 times. Using a Custom Giovanni & Mewtwo Legendary Spirit will complete the upgrade to 6★ EX. Legendary Spirit can be obtained from Villain Event Prelude: Looming Shadow of Kanto.
    Note: The Sync Pairs that can be obtained from Legendary Events will be eligible for upgrades to 6★ EX in stages.

Legendary Adventures Update
  • Legendary Adventures has been added to the Main Story, and you can now play any Legendary Event held thus far anytime you want!
  • To coincide with the addition of Legendary Adventures, the Legendary Event Medals in the Event tab have been moved to Legendary Adventures in the General tab.
    Note: Although only Giovanni & Mewtwo Lurking Shadow has been added at the time of this update, we have scheduled more stories to be added gradually over time.
Battle Villa Update
  • The Hall Skip feature was added.
    Note: In order to use the Hall Skip feature, certain conditions must be met. The Battle Villa scheduled to be held in January 2022 will be the earliest this feature can be used.

Egg Hatching Requirements
  • The hatch gauge has been removed and you will no longer need to win battles to hatch your Eggs.
  • Eggs that have fulfilled the required time needed to hatch before the update will hatch immediately after the update.
  • The maximum number of Eggs that can be placed in an incubator via the Auto-incubate feature after purchasing an Eggcelerator Pass has been increased from four to eight if you have purchased the Egg Box Expansion.

    Note: The limit will change to eight after the update even if you are already using the Auto-incubate feature and have purchased the Egg Box Expansion.

Other Updates
  • New songs have been added to the Jukebox. Scheduled Date/Time: March 29, 2022 at 11:00 p.m.
    Note: You can exchange for newly added songs in the Unlock Songs menu of the Jukebox or the Exchange Items menu in the Shop.

April 27th, 2022 2.20.0 Champion Stadium
  • You can now check the types of pieces you have obtained for the Champion Stadium (Hard Lv. 1) Medal on the battle prep screen.
  • If you complete the battle, the pieces you would obtain by entering the Hall of Fame are marked as “In progress,” and you will receive them once you have entered the Hall of Fame.
    Note: If you are unable to enter the Hall of Fame within the week, the “In progress,” marks disappear.
    Note: You can view the medal pieces you have obtained by tapping the Pieces button on the battle prep screen and checking the Medals prompt that appears.
    Note: You will not be able to check completion progress for Medals of any regions where you have already completed the Champion Stadium Medal by filling in all 18 types of pieces.

Improvements to Battles
  • Expanded the kinds of battles that will display a confirmation prompt when quitting the battle upon defeat. By selecting Battle Again following your defeat in an eligible battle, you can retry the battle from the beginning with the same team. Selecting Back will confirm your defeat.
    Note: This improvement applies to the following battle types: Battle Villa, Legendary Arena (and Legendary Gauntlet), and Full-Force Battles.
  • Unusable Sync Pairs will now appear at the bottom of the list on the Edit Team screen displayed before setting out for certain battle areas.
    Note: This improvement applies to the following battle types: Champion Stadium, Legendary Arena (and Legendary Gauntlet), and Full-Force Battles.

  • Using the skip function for certain areas will now skip to the end of the story. This will apply to areas in the categories listed below.
