The previously announced Banette event for the North American Global Link was later revealed that European countries would be getting an equivalent. Unlike earlier European Global Link events, the Banette event was unique to the different regional sites, with different passwords required to access them. The English language event for the United Kingdom was presented by Yahoo Games and the password was BANETYahooGames.
