An episode of the JFN radio show Ikimono-gakari's garden party (いきものがかりのgarden★party) in early June of 2013 mentioned that a special Eievui that knows the move Sing would be released to tie into Ikimono-gakari's vocalist Kiyoe Yoshioka's role in the upcoming movie short Pikachu and its Eievui Friends. Further details on the Pokémon and the distribution were revealed via the official site.

Official Site Update - June 15th, 2013

The official Japanese website updated and announced the full details of this event. To celebrate the debut of the 16th movie in theaters on July 13th, 2013, a special event will be held at LaLaport TOYOSU. Shoko Nakagawa will be in attendance as will Ikimono-gakari (いきものがかり) who will perform the song Egao (笑顔). Those that wish to attend the event must sign-up for the lottery on the official movie website. Spaces are limited and will be chosen via lottery. The Eevee will be distributed to those that attend the event.


For those that cannot attend the July 13th event, those that purchase the Egao (Limited Edition) CD which goes on sale July 10th, 2013 will receive a voucher that can be exchanged at participating Toys 'R US locations and Pokémon Centers for the Sing Eevee. The promotion will be from July 14th, 2013 until September 1st, 2013.

Pocket Monsters Best Wishes Da 9

Okido had a special segment in Pocket Monsters Best Wishes Da 9 where he announced to viewers that it had been decided that an event celebrating the premiere of the movie would be held! Incredibly, 1,000 groups of two, so 2,000 people in total will be invited! Exquisite guests like Shokotan, who plays Nymphia, and Ikimono-gakari, who sing "Egao", the theme song of the movie, appeared.

On top of that, a Singing Eievui which knows the special movie Sing will be given as a present at the theater. Those who cannot go to the event can obtain it with the Singing Eievui exchange ticket that comes with the theme song CD, which also contains an original Eievui Pokémon Tretta.

Pokémon Smash 141

Shoko-tan announced to Pokémon Smash 141 viewers that she would be attending the event at LaLaport TOYOSU on July 13th, 2013 and that Eievui would be distributed to 2000 people there.

A special commercial aired during the July 11th, 2013 special on TV Tokyo for Movie 15 and the Mewtwo OVA. The announcer informed viewers of the Eievui event download for those that attend the special concert on July 13th, 2013 and for those that buy the Egao (Limited Edition) CD.
