Niantic has announced the Catch Mastery event where players will be able to catch the featured Fighting-type Pokémon Hitmontop, Hitmonlee, and Hitmonchan!

: If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny one!

Event Bonuses

: You’ll have an increased chance of encountering Shiny Hitmonlee, Shiny Hitmonchan, and Shiny Hitmontop.
: 2× XP for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws, Great Throws, Excellent Throws, and Curveball Throws.

Field Research task encounters

Tasks focused on your Poké Ball throwing accuracy will be available! The following Pokémon will be available to encounter when you complete Field Research tasks.

Eggs

The following Pokémon will have a chance to hatch from 7 km Eggs collected during this event.

Timed Research

Timed Research focused on your PokéBall throwing accuracy will be available throughout the event! Complete 10 sets of research tasks to encounter 40 Hitmontop in total!
