Tradition of Japanese Academy Meets Digital Media Creation Through its Unique Bilingual and Bicultural Education in New York - Summer 2008{nl} The workshop will be taught by professional filmmakers in the industry today. Students will work in small groups to produce short films. Each group will be supervised by a media instructor learning basic camera techniques, the art of story telling, and basic editing. Special lectures will also be held by world renowned creators such as a filmmaker/journalist, Jon Alpert, Kiyoshi Kurosawa, and popular Japanese anime producers, for Pokemon, Naruto and more. Students will have a chance to live with other students from Japan and the United States on the beautiful nature filled campus in Westchester, NY. The program includes language lessons and cultural sessions which are taught by the native Japanese and English teachers of Keio Academy of New York. Bilingual moderators are available.
