Game Freak confirmed on October 10th, 2024, that company information was leaked in August 2024 and was now being posted publicly online on October 12th, 2024. Employee's personal information was included in the leak as well as meeting transcriptions, concept art, anime information, game information, internal development tools, codenames and much more.

Notice and Apology Concerning Leaking of Personal Information Due to Unauthorized Access

Game Freak Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Satoshi Tajiri, hereinafter referred to as "the Company") has discovered that the personal information of our employees and others was leaked in connection with unauthorized access to our servers by a third party in August 2024.

We sincerely apologize for the great inconvenience and concern caused to all affected parties.

3. Measures to prevent recurrence
We have already rebuilt and inspected our servers, but we will continue to work on preventing a recurrence by further strengthening our security measures.
