Play Pokémon has introduced the new Play Pokémon Professor Program community platform called Prof Com! Professors can now access resources, communications, and networking opportunities all in one place.

The Prof Com platform is your one-stop location to communicate and network with other Pokémon Professors. Among the most passionate and knowledgeable members of the Pokémon community are Pokémon Professors, who volunteer their time to support the smooth running of Play! Pokémon events the world over. Members of the Play! Pokémon Professor Program can earn rewards and discover opportunities to run tournaments, become official program Judges, and potentially earn an invite to join us at major competitive events. Existing Pokémon Professors now have access to the Professor Community (Prof Com), a centralized location for resources, communications, and networking opportunities that will make it easier to connect with fellow Professors. Prof Com includes a myriad of features, such as:

• News: The latest updates on topics relevant to Pokémon Professors.
• Forums: A place for Professors to discuss issues relating to individual games supported by the Play! Pokémon program as well as a location to connect with other local Professors.
• Events: The home for Professor Seminars and Professor Cups.
• Staff Calls: A centralized location for regional Organizers to post staff calls for their events.
• Directory: Here, Professors can create a profile that lists their specialties and current certifications. They can also opt to provide a public contact email address and appear in a global directory. This way, local Organizers can search for Professors in their area who are interested in helping at in-store events.
• Regional Professor Coordinator (RPC) Contact Page: A way to discover the RPC network and find out who the local RPC is for each region.

About the Professor Program

The Pokémon Professor Program is a global network of passionate and knowledgeable fans who volunteer their time to help ensure that Play! Pokémon events the world over are run to an exceptional standard.

Professors can be organizers, judges, scorekeepers, demonstrators, or any one of a myriad other roles. Some Professors choose to specialize in one area, for example as a Trading Card Game judge. Others like to be involved in as many areas as possible, continuing to learn and grow along with the events they help support.

From the largest Regional Championship to the smallest local League session, wherever there are Play! Pokémon events taking place, you will find our Pokémon Professors!

The relationship between The Pokémon Company International (TPCi) and a Pokémon Professor is an at-will relationship. This means that either party, at any time and for any reason, is free to sever the relationship. If TPCi or the Professor severs the relationship, that person will no longer be considered a member of the Professor Program and will not be eligible to receive any of the benefits associated with the Professor Program.

How to be Qualified

Certifications - With our specialist learning platform, Professor University, Professors can choose their areas of specialization and complete courses to gain new knowledge and supplement existing knowledge.
Ranks - As their experience in the program increases, Professors can climb through three ranks that each bring additional opportunities and rewards.
