Pokémon UNITE announced today that Pokémon UNITE will not be part of the Pokémon World Championships 2027. A separate tournament, the Pokémon UNITE Aeos Crown 2027 Tokyo will be held instead. Pokémon UNITE has been plagued by unbalanced gameplay that has made viewership numbers low.

Pokémon UNITE Championship Series Update

We have decided that Pokémon UNITE will not be part of the Pokémon World Championships 2027, scheduled for 2027, and will instead hold a separate tournament, Pokémon UNITE Aeos Crown 2027 Tokyo.

• Location: Tokyo, Japan
• Format: Offline
• Number of participating teams: Up to 32 teams
• We will invite all teams that have won their respective location qualifiers to Tokyo with travel awards.
• Tournament prize: Yes
