The official Japanese website announced that a new Pokémon Center will open in Tohoku during the Winter of 2011. The Tohoku Pokémon Center will be the 7th Pokémon Center to be in operation in Japan. The Pokémon Center will be located on the third floor of AER in Miyagi Prefecture, Aoba Ward, Sendai (宮城県仙台市青葉区中央1-3-1アエル3階).
Earlier this year the Tohoku area was devastated by a powerful earthquake that caused a tsunami.
