Throughout 2016 to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Pokémon games, a Mythical Pokémon Distribution Event will take place each at participating merchants across North America. Players of Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire are elegible to receive these Pokémon. They will also be distributed worldwide but details of other countries have yet to be finalized and announced.

This is a really good idea, it's great that all these pokemon will finally be available in the current generation games. It's also good to see that a lot of them will be distributed over Wi-Fi which will make them easier to access for people who don't have a GameStop store nearby.

Let's hope we get some announcements for other regions soon, too.

Indeed its good these event Pokémon are going to be available. Most of them on the Nintendo Network too so that's going to be nice. Looking forward to Mew especially!
