The stage for the adventure is the Hisui Region

The stage for the adventure is the Hisui Region (ヒスイ地方), with its harsh natural environment.



The story takes place in a time long ago, when there was no such thing as a Pokémon Trainer, and the region is eventually called the Sinnoh Region, the setting for Pokémon Diamond and Pearl.

The protagonist's goal is to create the first Pokémon Zukan for the region.


In the Hisui Region, where the ecology of Pokémon has yet to be revealed, the protagonist becomes a member of the Ginga Gang, which operates in Kotobukimura (コトブキムラ), and goes everywhere to investigate Pokémon.

One of the features of this title is that it offers the most freedom to explore in any Pokémon game. As you run through the fields of nature, you will investigate the Pokémon living in the Hisui Region.

In the Hisui Region, there are Pokémon that will attack if they see a human. If you are attacked, the main character will also take damage, and if you continue to take damage, your eyes will go black and you will have to return to the Base Camp, the base of your investigation...


It is one thing to try to capture them while making full use of actions and battles, but it is also important to run away from the area when it is dangerous to continue the investigation.

Newly Discovered Pokémon and Hisui Form Pokémon

In the Hisui Region, there are newly discovered Pokémon that you haven't seen yet, as well as Pokémon with a Hisui form that is different from the forms seen in other regions.

Three groups active in the Hisui Region

In addition to the Ginga Gang, to which the protagonist belongs, there are two other groups in the Hisui Region: the Kongo Gang (コンゴウ団) and the Shinju Gang (シンジュ団). The Kongo Gang and the Shinju Gang are both groups that have been around for a long time, but they often clash due to their different ways of thinking, with the Ginga Gang taking a neutral position.


In addition, Kotobukimura also has a group of merchants who support the investigation of the main character.
