Zoey is a Pokémon coordinator and Dawn's rival and friend. She is also good friends with Candice, the Gym Leader of Snowpoint City Gym.

Zoey entered the Mikuri Cup tournament at the Lakeside Resort but lost against May in the semi-finals. Determined to do better, she continued training hard for the Sinnoh Grand Festival.

She managed to get the 5 required ribbons to enter the Grand Festival before Dawn but with the assistance of Candice, they helped motivate Dawn to continue working hard so they could compete against each other. She managed to get through the Appeal round keeping their hopes alive to battle in the Grand Festival finals.
