You'll need to use more skill and strategy than ever before in the Pokemon VGC 2012. That's according to the Pokemon Company's JC Smith who believes that using the National Pokedex will make the Pokemon VGC 2012 even more competive.

The Pokemon Company announced the Pokemon VGC 2012 dates this morning but they also revealed that players will be able to choose Pokemon from the National Pokedex for their team. This means you'll have more Pokemon to choose from than in the Pokemon VGC 2011 where players could only use Pokemon from the Pokemon Black and White's Unova region.

"Opening up the National Pokedex for competition, and thus expanding the number of Pokemon that can be used in the 2012 season, will only increase the skill and strategy needed to be crowned a Pokemon Video Game National Champion," said J.C. Smith, director of Consumer Marketing for The Pokemon Company International. "We look forward to seeing the thousands of Pokemon players and fans who will be attending the five European National Championships events this spring."

Taken from ONM:

"There are over 600 toy Pokemon to collect in Super Pokemon Rumble but we're giving you a headstart with these passwords which unlock Victini and Pikachu.

Yes, Nintendo has released two passwords to help you unlock these two Pokemon.

If you want to get Victini, the Legendary Pokemon from Pokemon Black and White, you should use this password: 90827838.

As for Pikachu, enter 75805216 to get hold of a toy version of perhaps the most famous Pokemon of them all.

Both these toy Pokémon will appear somewhere in your game and when you find and defeat them in battle, they are guaranteed to befriend you. These passwords will tell you where you can befriend them.

First you need to talk to Munna in Easterly Town, which is the second town you'll visit in the game. After entering the correct password, Munna will tell you where to befriend the special toy Pokémon."

It's through an ad for some Pokémon Movie 15 marchandise (a set a DS stylus) that we learn about the legendary Pokémon that will feature in the upcoming Pokémon 15 Movie/ Unsurprisingly, the Pokémon are: Kyurem, Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion. And along a Pikachu stylus, there's also another one for a mysterious Pokémon, yet to be revealed (no doubt it will be one of the legendary that are yet to be revealed in the games).
