Summary:
The ending starts with ornaments in the shapes of Satoshi's, Iris's and Dent's Pokémon falling in front of a wooden surface with a snowflake carved on it. The surface then opens like a double-leaf door for a collage of artistically drawn pictures to appear on the screen next.
The first picture shows Satoshi, Iris and Dent spending some leisure time together with their Pokémon at a stream in a forest. The next scene shows a young N at a castle terrace surrounded by wild Pokémon, the Goddess of Love and the Goddess of Peace. During the time the first pair of pictures were shown, flowers petals were falling symbolizing spring.
The following picture shows Satoshi, Iris and Dent in a city. Iris is walking ahead of the group together with Kibago, while Satoshi and Dent are behind her, hands full of shopping bags and boxes. A grown-up N is then shown on a cliff filled with greenery and running waters gazing at the view of the nearby city, once again surrounded by wild Pokémon.
A picture of Satoshi sleeping under a tree appears on the screen next. Satoshi is cuddled up with Pikachu who is wearing his cap and the both of them are sleeping close to the campfire. The following scene shows N sitting next to a campfire deep in his thoughts while his wild Pokémon friends are sound asleep. For this pair of images, green leaves with shades of orange were seen falling, symbolizing autumn.
The ending then transitions to a winter setting. N is once again surrounded by his wild Pokémon friends and is petting a winter-form Shikijika.
The final scenes show N on a boat leaving the forest where his Pokémon friends live, while they wave him goodbye. The trees are filled with blooming flowers and flower petals are falling everywhere around them. One of them lands on N's hand. A new wooden surface closes like a double-leaf door and on it is a carving of N with a cherry blossom in the middle.
