Avery is a character introduced in the Isle of Armor DLC expansion of Pokémon Sword. He is a Psychic-type trainer from the Galar region training under Mustard when the player, Victor or Gloria meets him, and becomes their Rival. Having a prideful personality that comes from being an outcast of his all-Psychic trainer family, he aims to become a Gym Leader of the Galar region, which he manages in the post-game of the DLC.
