Biography
Kieran is a character first introduced in The Teal Mask DLC expansion of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. He is the younger brother of Carmine, and was originally born in the far-off region of Kitakami. He is a descendant of the man who made the masks Ogerpon wears.

While he attends the Blueberry Academy much like his older sister, he isn't very strong, and feels quite shunned and left out from the rest of the school, alongside always having felt like this at home-life as well, due to his sister's stronger battling skills and cold exterior. Thanks to these factors, he's always idolized the Pokémon Ogerpon, the supposed murderous ogre that the town despises, and wishes he could become friends with it.

When the player, Florian or Juliana, manage to meet and befriend Ogerpon instead and learn the true story of it and the Loyal Three, alongside Carmine, the two try to cover it up to make sure Kieran doesn't get himself hurt and shunned by the townspeople. This only leads to more resentment from Kieran when he learns the truth, as he feels that the entire world was against him and his dreams. This resentment took shape inside him, making Ogerpon scared of him, and allowed Kieran to accidently release The Loyal Three, the three legendary bullies that caused the legends to take shape in the first place.
While Carmine and the player were taking care of the Loyal Three, Kieran managed to convince people the truth about Ogerpon, but the resentment from many years of weakness, loneliness, and seeing the player catch Ogerpon for themselves and losing yet another battle to them, led to him locking himself in his room, and the dark energy of wanting to become stronger take control.

When the player next meets Kieran in the Blueberry Academy during "The Indigo Disk" DLC, he has completely changed the way he looks, the way he acts, and his entire team. He is much more cruel to others around him, he pushes his Pokémon harder, and his only care in the world is being strong. He managed to beat Drayton in the BB League, making him the BB League Champion. He allows the player to challenge the BB League as he wanted to showcase his power and finally beat them. However, he is once again bested. Instead of breaking out of his spell, however, he decides to try one last resort of catching the Legendary Pokémon Terapagos after being whisked away by Briar on a trip to the hidden depths of Area Zero. So desperate to prove he's stronger, he forcefully catches Terapagos into a Master Ball and tries Terastalyzing it at Briar's request, causing the Pokémon to go beserk. During the battle with Terapagos, he feels initially sorry for himself, but after Carmine's words get to him, he helps the player out to defeat Terapagos, and allows the player to catch it, breaking out of his spell. He and the player make up at the end of the DLC.
