Cloud Island
A Cloud Island allows players to share their created Cloud Island to others by giving out the address and Link Code (if required) so others can play on it, even if the owner is not around. You can also view a Cloud Island using Virtual Mode if you have the address. A Nintendo Switch Online membership and Internet connection are required to play online.
How to visit a Cloud Island using Virtual Mode
With Virtual Mode, you can visit a virtual version of a Cloud Island where your actions won't affect the real Cloud Island. You must raise your Environment Level to 3 and purchase the "Mysterious goggles" item from the PC Shop to use this feature.
- Start Pokémon Pokopia from the HOME Menu.
- Press the A Button on the title screen.
- Press the X Button to open your bag, select the Mysterious goggles item, then press the A Button to use them.
- If this is your first time using this feature, you'll be presented with an overview of Virtual Mode. When you're finished reading it, press the B Button.
- When asked if you'd like to put them on, select Yes.
- Enter the address of the Cloud Island you wish to view.
- The destination will be displayed. Select Yes to view the island.
- When you're ready to return to your own town, press the + Button to open the Pokédex, press the - Button to go back home, then select Return Home.
- You can also end the session by accessing the PC and selecting Return Home.
