Maxsoft, the official distributor of Nintendo in South East Asia and the Middle East distributed the Powerful Pikachu event from May 11th, 2012 until May 20th, 2012 at Isetan Scotts, Level 4 in Singapore. The Pikachu distribution was part of the Pokémon Pika Pika Carnival taking place there. The Pikachu was the same one that was distributed in Japan for the Tohoku Pokémon Center Pikachu Festival. The distribution is open to players of the English and Japanese versions of Pokémon Black and White and players could get both an English and Japanese Pikachu.


The Pokémon Pika Pika Carnival also had limited Pokémon merchandise for sale including a Kyurem Pencil case, a Pikachu soft toy and a Reshiham/Zekrom water bottle. Visitors could also play Singapore's first Motion sensor game for $5 a play. A Pikachu was also at the fair May 12th, 13th, 19th and 20th at 1pm, 3pm and 5pm for a photo session to allow people to take pictures with it.
