The official Pokémon Japanese X account announced that 2026 is the 30th anniversary for the Pokémon franchise as it celebrates the launch of the games Pocket Monsters Red and Green which were released on the Nintendo Game Boy on February 27th, 1996, in Japan. To commemorate this occasion, they posted a video that was confirmed to be animated by Odashi. The PokeTimes account also posted the official logo for the 30th anniversary.
