Join millions of Trainers across the globe for Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global! Take part in this worldwide event featuring Mewtwo and Zeraora. Whether you’re a longtime Pokémon fan or picking up Pokémon GO for the first time, anyone can get all the ticket-holder exclusives at no cost!

To celebrate an extra-special year, each day of GO Fest 2026: Global will have an extra hour of gameplay—that’s a total of nine event hours each day!

Yes, GO Fest: Global is FREE for the first time! Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global is FREE for all Trainers logged in during the event weekend. That means Special Research, additional bonuses, and an increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokémon are available to all Trainers at no cost!

Mewtwo’s Mega Evolutions will debut during Pokémon GO Fest 2026!

Mewtwo’s Mega Evolutions, Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y, are coming to Pokémon GO! You will soon be able to Mega Evolve Mewtwo into its two powerful temporary forms using either Mewtwo Mega Energy X or Mewtwo Mega Energy Y.

Starting during Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global, you’ll be able to get these rare types of energy by defeating Mega Mewtwo X or Mega Mewtwo Y in Super Mega Raid Battles. Mewtwo caught from Super Mega Battles will have at least one Mega Level already unlocked!*

*If you’re lucky, the Mewtwo might even be at Mega Level 2 or 3!

Investigate with Professor Willow to discover a new Mythical Pokémon!

For the first time in Pokémon GO, Trainers will be able to complete Special Research to encounter Zeraora, the Thunderclap Pokémon! Trainers that log in during the GO Fest 2026: Global event weekend will receive Special Research that leads to an encounter with Zeraora. Special Research does not expire, so you can complete it at your own pace!

Exciting Pokémon Encounters during Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global.

Encounter the most diverse variety of Pokémon species ever observed in the wild! During each hour of the event, Trainers will have a higher chance of encountering Pokémon of a specific type. Over the course of the event weekend, Trainers will have the opportunity to encounter Pokémon of all 18 types. Use this time to earn the platinum medal for each type!

The thunderous conclusion to Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global! It’s time for a finale of thunderous proportions! After kicking off the adventures during the real-world Pokémon GO Fest events in Tokyo, Chicago, and Copenhagen, Trainers around the world can help Professor Willow investigate a Mythical Pokémon that’s making its Pokémon GO debut. Through Special Research, exciting encounters, and discoveries, Trainers can uncover the Thunderclap Pokémon, Zeraora!

Trainers who attend the Tokyo, Chicago or Copenhagen events and have already encountered Zeraora will receive Zeraora Candy instead.

Take part in Timed Research!

A new Timed Research experience will be available to Trainers!

Fun-filled Field Research!

Field Research will refresh each hour. Complete special Pokémon type–based Field Research tasks during each type’s hour.

Bonuses and Features

In-game bonuses for all Trainers! All Trainers will receive the following bonuses and rewards between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. local time on event days!

Increased appearances of Pokémon-type featured during each time block of GO Fest: Global!

• Lure Modules activated during the event will last for one hour.
• Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) will attract special Pokémon.
• Party Play will be active for nine hours
• Increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokémon
• Special Research including an encounter with Zeraora
• Branching Timed Research with a choice between Mega Mewtwo X or Mega Mewtwo Y.
• Global Challenges to unlock additional bonuses and Ultra Unlock events.
• Different Pokémon type–themed Field Research every hour

All Trainers will also receive the following bonuses and rewards between 12:00 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. local time on event days!

• Up to nine free Raid Passes per day by spinning Photo Discs at Gyms
• Up to six Special Trades
• 1/2 Stardust cost for all trades
• Open up to 50 Gifts each day
