The latest episode of Pokémon Sunday, The Obstinate Chicorita!! / Group Member Yamamoto transforms into his Sky Forme! / The Chronicles of Group Member Akiyama's Struggles to get a Hoho (いじっぱりのチコリータ!! 山本隊員がスカイフォルムに変身！ 秋山隊員のホーホーゲット奮闘記), aired today in Japan.

In today's episode of Pokémon Sunday, Professor Akido once again did research on similarities between humans and Pokémon, with Baba and Yamamoto as less enthusiastic aides. This time, Akido researched if humans transform into their Sky Forme upon contact with a Gracedia flower, if a Pokémon Center can heal humans injured in battle, and if a "Crystal Baba" has the same resistance to water attacks as a Crystal Iwark.

The rerun serial "Pokémon Selection" continued the theme "Journeys and Meetings in the Jouto Region", with today's episode showing Satoshi getting the grass starter Pokémon Chicorita after saving it from the Rocket Gang.

Apparantly mixing up Pokémon names a bit, Akiyama decided to catch the "legendary Pokémon Hoho" in his new HeartGold game, but no matter how many battles he fought, he couldn't seem to find one. Never one to give up, he kept playing all day, and as nighttime fell, he discovered that different Pokémon are available at different times of the day. Finally managing to meet the elusive Pokémon species, he proceeded to catch 30 of them.
