Summary:
While he was escaping from the group of Onisuzume, Satoshi learns from a girl named Kasumi that there is a "Pokémon Center", a hospital that treats Pokémon, in the nearby Tokiwa City. After great struggles, he arrives in Tokiwa City, but while he is searching for this Pokémon Center so it can treat his dying Pikachu, he is interrogated by Junsa, the city's policewoman, who is on the lookout for suspicious people. After proving his identity with the Pokémon Zukan he got from Professor Okido, he soon arrives at the Pokémon Center in Junsa's sidecar. There, the treatment of Pikachu begins at the hands of the Pokémon Center nurse, Joy.
Then, the Center is attacked by a group of members of the "Rocket Gang", an evil association said to be behind the recent over-capturing of Pokémon: Musashi, Kojiro, as well as Nyarth, a Pokémon belonging to the Rocket Gang's boss. The Pokémon Center is wrecked by their Pokémon Arbo and Dogas.
Both Satoshi and Kasumi, the girl who came there following him, stand up to the Rocket Gang, but neither of them have any Pokémon capable of fighting. But then Pikachu, who just recovered, join the fight alongside a huge group of its kin. They defeat the Rocket Gang with a massive electric shock, and force them out.
