The official Pocket Monsters Diamond and Pearl (ポケットモンスター ダイヤモンド・パール) website has posted a teaser poster stating that the series will end on September 9th, 2010. The series will be replaced by Pocket Monsters Best Wishes! (ポケットモンスターベストウイッシュ). Pocket Monsters Diamond and Pearl first aired on September 28th, 2006 and will have run for almost 4 years. So that means, PKMN Best Wishes will come out on either September 16 or September 23.

If this is the case, Dawn will have been in less episodes than May overall.
If you don't count those clip shows, Dawn will have about 189 regular episodes, whereas May got 191 not counting her DP cameo.
Even though its not by much, Dawn had the shortest run for a female protagonist in Pokemon.
