My-Cartoon has announced that the first Pocket Monsters Best Wishes DVD box set will be released in Taiwan on October 7th, 2011 for $1,680 Taiwanese Dollars. The set features the first 26 episodes of the series. The 7 disc box set features Dolby Digital 2.0 tracks in Japanese and Chinese Mandarin as well as a subtitle track in Chinese Mandarin. The video is 16:9 and NTSC.

The question is: why doesn't such a boxset exist in Japan? (Or maybe I just haven't heard about one, yet). At least, this one got Japanese audio. I wish we could get something similar in Europe.
