To celebrate the opening of the next Pokémon Center store, Pokémon Center Tohoku, which officially opens December 4th 2011, Pokémon Center stores all over Japan are hosting a series of events featuring Pokémon Center Tohoku's three mascots Pikachu, Tsutarja and Victini. These events are also connected to "POKÉMON with YOU", the support group for children recovering from the Tohoku earthquake.

Muscle Band Tsutarja

During the period of December 4th to December 18th 2011, a special event Pokémon will be distributed at all Pokémon Centers in Japan:

Ability: Overgrow
Moves: Growth, Synthesis, Energy Ball, Aromatherapy
Ribbon: Wishing Ribbon
Held item: Muscle Band
Ball: Cherish Ball

The moves Synthesis and Aromatherapy can not normally be learned by Tsutarja.

Effort Ribbon Pikachu Card

During the period of December 4th to December 9th 2011, a special promotional Pokémon card will be distributed with any purchase at all Pokémon Centers in Japan. The card features the Pokémon Center Tohoku logo, and shows Pikachu, Tsutarja and Victini wearing the effort ribbon, reminding everyone to stay strong and hang in there. Continuing this theme, the card also features the move "Gather power", which lets players search their deck for two energy cards.

Soothe Bell Victini Notepad

During the period of December 4th to December 9th 2011, a special promotional Pokémon notepad will be distributed to all who submit an uplifting message to the earthquake victims at all Pokémon Centers in Japan. The notepad will feature a motif of a Victini wearing a Soothe Bell, portraying the message that everything will work out and we should all cheer up.

I'd really love to have Pokémon Centers outside Japan... or at least, more Nintendo World stores, elsewhere than New York.

Agreed. I mean they should at least have one on the West Coast as well. I mean why would they open a Nintendo World Store so far away from Japan?
