The Nintendo Direct conferences for North America, Europe and Japan all aired today and revealed various information about the Nintendo 3DS and the Pokémon franchise. The Nintendo 3DS XL was announced and features bigger screens. The upper widescreen display is 4.88 inches while the lower screen is 4.18 inches. It will come with a 4GB memory card and will retail for $199.99USD. It will be released in North America on August 19th, 2012, in Europe and Japan on July 28th, 2012.


Tornadus, Thundurus and Landorus new formes are called the Therian Forme while their standard forme is called the Incarnate Forme. The Japanese conference also announced that the first World WiFi Tournament for Black 2 and White 2 will start on June 29th, 2012. The people in the tournament are based upon trainers found in this year's World Championships from Japan.

Nintendo Europe announced that Learn with Pokémon Typing Adventure will be released in Europe in September and it includes the white Bluetooth keyboard. Below is the video from the European Nintendo Direct Conference announcing the new game.

I have to admit, I was really surprised when they announced Pokémon Typing Adventure, I was totally NOT expecting, and never aw it coming. I was pretty that was going to stay in Japan, never to leave (especially since it's been more than a year since the 3DS was release).

Think I might be tempted to buy it, especially since the blutooth keyboard apparently also works with other devices.
