Details about the upcoming Pocket Monsters XY Special: The Strongest Mega Evolution ~Act I~ (ポケットモンスター XY 特別編 最強メガシンカ　～Act I～) special were announced on the official Japanese Pokémon website. The first part of the special will air on April 3rd, 2014 from 19:00 to 19:30.

Story Overview

The story revolves around the main character, a young boy trainer named Alan (アラン). His goal is to defeat all Mega Evolved Pokémon to prove himself as the strongest. While traveling around fighting Mega Evolved Pokémon, he ends up fighting Elite Four member Zumi (ズミ), who also has a Mega Evolved Pokémon.
