The official Pokémon YouTube channel has posted the first episode of the Pocket Monsters 2019 anime series. The episode aired on Sunday, November 17th, 2019 as part of a one hour special. The episode, Pikachu is Born! is in Japanese, but is region free and free to view.

Anime Summary:

In a forest somewhere in Kanto, there once was a lonely Pichu. This Pichu, who was still very young, went through a certain encounter and farewell. This all took place shortly before Satoshi and his partner Pikachu started their journey. This is the story of how everything in the "Pocket Monsters" anime began.
