On April 30th, 2020, the official Japanese Pokémon Twitter announced that the entire PM 2019 series that had aired to that date, episode 22, would be open and available to the public to watch for free in Japan on the official Japanese YouTube channel. This was done as an effort to have people stay home during the COVID-19 pandemic.

All episodes of the latest Pokémon series are now available on the official Pokémon YouTube channel! It's been been announced that it will be open to the public until Sunday, May 31! Be sure to watch Anipoke and have a good time at home.

Selected episodes from Satoshi and Pikachu's adventures are now available on YouTube.
Every Tuesday - Episodes from Pocket Monsters (1997) to Pocket Monsters Sun & Moon were released sequentially.
Every Wednesday - Episodes of Pocket Monsters (2019) were released sequentially.

The official Japanese Anime PR Twitter account posted a tweet with 4 production artwork pieces and asked fans to identify the scenes they were from as part of their #AniPokeMania (#アニポケマニア) feature. The Pikachu scene was from the first episode of the 2019 anime series which was a flashback to the first episode of the anime series.

Special First-Airing Segment Pocket Monsters Pikachu Run

During the “Pocket Monsters” broadcast, press the “d” button on the terrestrial digital TV to display the data broadcast! "Pocket Monsters" data broadcasts can only be enjoyed when viewing on TV Tokyo affiliates during the original broadcast.

When you watch "Pocket Monsters", Pikachu runs under the screen when the Data broadcast is active. You can find balls to get Pokémon according to the distance you ran. The longer you run, the better the ball that can be found. Pikachu can run and gain progress until around 6:15-20 in the evening. Until then, press the d button on the remote control.

Pokémon appears every week at the end of the program. Throw the ball you have and get Pokémon. The acquired Pokémon is registered in Pokémon Zukan. When you have a lot of balls, you can choose which one to use.

If you successfully get a Pokémon, you can apply for a present. Write down the password displayed on the screen and apply from the application form.

Data Broadcast Pokémon: Pichu

From November 17th, 2019 until December 1st, 2019 at 17:59, those that played the Data Broadcast and got a password, could then apply to the lottery to win a present. The Pokémon Calendar 2020 was given out to 30 lucky winners during this time period. Passwords could only be used once and multiple applications were invalid.
