Biography
Go Ichinose is a Japanese composer and arranger that began working at GAME FREAK in 1993. He is best known for composing music for the Pokémon games.

When he was in kindergarten, he was forced to attend a swimming school and a music class. He didn't like swimming school, and kept crying until he didn’t have to attend any more, but he remained in the music class the whole time. He never did his homework, so his music teacher told him, “I won’t let you advance to higher classes." That’s when he switched to the piano. But even then, he didn’t practice unless it was a piece he liked. During junior high school, he got into game music. Famicom [Family Computer] music, Game Center music and things like that. He also took recording devices to the Game Center and recorded the sounds, then played them on the piano.
