ME:I is a Japanese girl group that was formed through the reality competition show Produce 101 Japan The Girls. The name of the group ME:I means "an idol who is loved by everyone, an idol of the future, moving forward together towards the future" (皆から愛されるアイドル、未来に向かって共に進んでいく、未来のアイドル). When the name of the group is spoken aloud, it sounds like the Japanese word future (mirai 未来).
