Yuxa lives in Kumli Town with his father and great-great grandma, the Kumli Town Matriarch. His son Yuxa came racing to him yelling that he saw the Black Rayquaza flying and Yuxa's Onbat went missing as it got scared. He went running to his father saying that disaster was coming. His father calmed down him down telling not to be scared and to go look around town for his Pokémon.

He went into a cave and found his Noibat but was chased by a swarm of Vibrava. With the help from Liko, Roy and Dot, the fought off the Vibrava and escaped the cave.

He apologized to them for his earlier reaction about them bringing disaster to the town because they bought the Black Rayquaza with them. He decided to train more with his Noibat so that he could be like the Rising Volt Tacklers.

Etymology:
Yuxa's name is presumably based off of the Turkish legendary creature, which is a 100-year-old snake with a dragon's head. This could be a reference to 100 years ago when Gibeon's Zygarde was in Rakua and that it is a 100+ year old snake itself in 50% Forme. The Year of the Snake New Years celebrations occurred just before this episodes original airing in Japan.

Yuxa also had a Dragon-type Pokémon in this episode, and the writers could have chosen any other Pokémon type, so this also helps tie-in the theory that his name was based off of a legendary snake with a dragon's head. Yuha is the exact romanized spelling and it has also been brought up that his name could be a reference to Yupa from Nausicaä.
