A new background music CD box set will to be released in Japan on September 8th, 2010. TV Anime Pocket Monsters Original Soundtrack Best 1997-2010 (TVアニメ ポケットモンスター オリジナルサウンドトラック ベスト 1997-2010) will feature background music from the Advanced Generation and Diamond and Pearl series. The 2 disc set will feature approximately 80 of the best tracks from those series. It will also include a 16 page color booklet with an interview of Shinji Miyazaki. The CD's are also digitally mastered from the original masters. The CD set's catalog number is ZMCP-5452 and it will retail for a special price of 2730 yen.
The CD has been added to the database. Information will be updated as it becomes available.

This is awesome. It's unfortunate that some of the music from AG and the original series are probably going to be dupes from Genki ippai and the first Anime BGM CD but hopefully will get a few new unreleased tracks on the CD's. Looking forward to this one. During the interview with Shinji Miyazaki on the radio, he said the fans need to say we want more BGM CD's, so be sure to buy this one. It's a good price at around 3000yen for a 2 CD set.

This is a really amazing CD, I'm hoping a lot of people bought it because they won't be disappointed by the tracks that were included on the discs.

just took a listen to this. not bad. i am sure they are still missing a lot of songs. hope they bring more soundtracks in the future.
it feels like there werent that many songs from the D&P saga IMO. i didnt like the songs from the hoenn saga. no offense, it just doesnt sound that great
