Miyu Matsuki (松来未祐) was a Japanese actress, movie star and voice actress. She was born on September 14th, 1977 in Kure, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan. Her talent agency 81 Produce confirmed on November 2nd, 2015 that she died on October 27th due acute pneumonia at the age of 38. She had taken time off as of July 2015 to combat the health problem but unfortunately the treatment was unsuccessful.

She is best known to Pocket Monsters anime fans as the Japanese voice of Caitlin who appeared in Pocket Monsters Best Wishes Season 2

Seems to be a rash of voice actor deaths lately. I didn't think deaths related to pneumonia were still a big thing but apparently more than 4 million people a year still die from it. Never would have thought it was that high. I guess mainly elderly people but seems strange for someone so young to die from it. Truly unfortunate and the best to her family.
