The official Japanese website announced that the 5th ANA short would be released on DVD in Japan sometime in August. The DVD will also be given out as a prize for some of the Movie 12 Card Contests winners.
Pikachu's Great Ice Adventure iis the 5th ANA short. Pikachu and friends arrive near the sea and end up getting into a fight with Nyarth. Suddenly a sweeping and terrible snowstorm encompass the Pokemon. Pikachu gets separated from the other Pokemon because of the snowstorm.

Visit a participating Toys R Us in the United States or Puerto Rico from March 8th through March 21st to receive the Colossal Pokemon Regigigas in your copy of Pokemon Diamond Version or Pokemon Pearl Version.
Regigigas Information
Level: 100
Poke Ball: Cherish Ball
Held Item: Custap Berry
Moves: Iron Head, Rock Slide, Icy Wind, Crush Grip
If you receive this Regigigias and then transfer it to your copy of Pokemon Platinum Version, something amazing happens! If you have Regigigas in your party at certain times, you may be able to find Regirock, Regice and Registeel in Sinnoh. Once you encounter them, you'll be able to catch these Legendary Pokemon.
This trio of Legendary Pokemon cannot be found in Pokemon Platinum Version during normal play and a Regigigas caught through normal play in Pokemon Platinum Version will not cause these Pokemon to appear.

In anticipation of Pokemon Platinum, Nintendo gave IGN a rare opportunity to interview Game Freak director Junichi Masuda and game designer Takeshi Kawachimaru.
Mr. Masuda has been with Pokemon since Day One on the original Game Boy providing much of the audio. He directed the original DS games Diamond and Pearl, and composed much of the music in the design. Mr. Kawachimaru has been designing Pokemon since Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, and in Pokemon Platinum he served as the game's director.

The Pokemon Platinum Version video game is coming to Nintendo DS on March 22nd and this spring Pokemon Trainers around the globe will battle for a chance to win it all at the 2009 Pokemon Video Game World Championships!@
For Pokemon Trainers, it could not possibly get more exciting than this. Pokemon Video Game Regional Tournaments will be held this spring throughout the United States and Europe and the competition is guaranteed to be intense. Trainers tough enough to quality will earn an invitation and travel award to participate in the Pokemon Video Game National Championships held in St. Louis, Missouri on June 27th and 28th.
Pokemon Trainers who have the skill to quality at the National level will earn an invitation and travel award to the ultimate stage -- t the Pokemon Video Game World Championships! This prestigious event will take place in San Diego, California on August 14th and 15th.
Detailed rules will be announced in the coming weeks, but for now we can reveal the Pokemon Trainers will compete using the 2-on-2 Double Cup format, with no Pokemon allowed to exceed level 50. Stay tuned for more information about which Pokemon will be restricted.
The competition will take place exclusively using Pokemon Platinum Version, so be sure to pick up the game when it is released on March 22nd. With new adventures, never-before-seen Formes of powerful Pokemon and expanded online options, Pokemon Platinum Version has plenty of new surprises for Pokemon fans.

"Shaymin, the 492nd Pokemon, is the newest mysterious Pokemon. Like Manaphy and Darkrai before it, Shaymin does not appear in normal gameplay in Pokemon Diamond Version and Pokemon Pearl Versoin. It is said that in some regions, it is customary to give a Shaymin-shape flower bouquet as a thank-you gift.

Coming exclusively to Nintendo DS on March 22, 2009, Pokemon Platinum Version introduces players to a new world to explore in the Sinnoh region: The Distortion World. Many other surprises await, including the appearance of Giratina in its Origin Forme, the Pokemon's true Forme.
Giratina Origin Forme doesn't appear in Pokemon Diamond Version or Pokemon Pearl Version, so if you want to catch a glimpse of this Pokemon, you'll have to play Pokemon Platinum Version. The Forme of Giratina players encounter in Pokemon Pokemon Diamond Version and Pokemon Pearl Version is known as Giratina Altered Forme.

Sorry if this isn't the right place to announce, but serebii.net has confirmed that the original voice actor for Meowth has passed on. A sad day. RIP Maddie, a.k.a. the Meowth.

Rumours have been circulating around the Internet for the past day or so that voice actor Maddie Blaustein, most commonly known to Pokémon fans as the voice of Meowth for 8 seasons, had died. 4Kids posted a news article confirming the news reported by Serebii.net.
"It is with great sadness that we note the passing of our friend and colleague Maddie Blaustein. Maddie was a voice actress for hit shows such as Pokémon, Chaotic: M’arrillian Invasion, Dinosaur King, and Sonic X. She was a wonderful actress, friend and inspiration. Her talent, friendship and laughter will be missed by all.
