A closed beta has started. If you want in, you have to find a code inside one of the Black and White Booster Packs.
Fortunately, there's a way to tell which packs have a code inside.

I got myself a code. When you first redeem a code you get several booster packs to start out, each additional code will get you a new booster pack.

For those who want to jump right into the game, there is a deck builder wizard that will generate a deck for you.

The print option will allow you to print out your deck in the form of an official Play Pokemon Deck Registration sheet.

The wizard has already been changed. Now instead of a drop down menu, you just place the card you want to generate a deck built around into a slot.

While you have an infinite supply of generic, setless energy cards, the energy cards that actually come in sets are things you actually have to collect if you want to use.

This wasn't there when I first started! Looks like any of the deck codes you used for Trainer Challenge now carry over to Online.

The game has preconstructed decks you can load up (you still have to actually have the cards in the deck though).
Descriptions are working now, they didn't before.

In addition to the first one letting you play the game in the first place, each additional code you enter will get you a booster pack in-game, which is so far the only way to get more cards.
It prints money!

Getting packs has been implemented into a store-like interface.
You still need codes to acquire the booster credits, though.
Only the booster section is up.

In the beginning it just gave you 25 packs when you start the game
Now it's a bit nicer to you, and it gives you 20 packs plus a pre-made deck.
That way you can't be entirely screwed out of getting anything playable.

Two new decks have been added to Trainer Challenge.
But wait, these are old decks? What's the plan here, are they going to reprint them with the codes?

When you fully unlock your Basic decks in Trainer Challenge (Win 12 matches with them), the decks will be unlocked for use in TCGO.
These cards are untradeable, but 3 decks worth of cards should make a valuable resource for anyone starting out in TCGO.
